Category: Performance Enhancement
The steroid coverage by the media continues. Following on from the SMH interview Channel 10 contacted me for a live interview on their Studio 10 programme. What an incredible experience I have to say. They sent a taxi – yes, a taxi from Sydney to the Central Coast to pick me up, drive me to the television studio and returned me to my home.
Why did they go to all this trouble? What were they hoping I would say?
I don’t support anabolic steriod use, or any performance enhancement drug for that matter. Yes, I am former user, but I suspect my previous addiction to them contributed to my unknown birth defect, overloaded my kidneys which resulted in a kidney transplant.
I know I cannot change any person who is determined to use them, so I can only offer the same advice. Know what you are taking, and monitor the effects of the drugs on your body They only way to do that is through blood tests, and kidney function tests. Yes pee in the jar please. If you are going to take any performance enhancement drug, then put your ego to one way side and do it smart. Don’t trust your mate to inject you with who knows what chemical, and cross your fingers and hope you just get bigger muscles, or faster sprints, or higher jumps, or longer golf drives. You most certainly are going to get more than you bargain for!
